That may be true for the most part but I don't think it's about a competent game to replace WoW I think it's just something new and fresh to replace WoW. Perhaps something to take our minds away from WoW for a bit until Rift becomes stale and we go back to WoW.

Rift has proven to me that I am tired of the genre. What I was sick of in WoW is present in Rift. Rift is a good game, not bashing it, but I learned my problem with WoW has carried over.
I need a complete break entirely. Rift is just not different from WoW enough (IMHO).

Blizzard is killing WoW and a lot of people are leaving and lots have left already, Rift came out at a perfect time and will pick up a pretty good amount of those players. Rift is worth the 49 bucks just to try out and see if you like it.
I for one got tired of playing world of hotfixes and am enjoying my time in rift atm =)
I wouldn't bash rift too much if they do come out with content at a faster pace which they claim they can lots of folks are going to stick with it.
Have fun playing the new ZG lol
