Well considering ~10,000 people had their accounts hacked in Rift before the first month is up, due to poor security on Trion's end, I'd say WoW has nothing to worry about.

I certainly don't want to resub after the first month after having my character stripped to his undies, his money and bags pilfered. Yeah, it's like that.

Players will get tired of "exploring" very quickly when they are in massive zones full of the same scenery over and over and over and over....

Depends on how its presented. If it feels too gamey, ie the mobs don't move, are set out in an obvious patterned layout, and with a clear level gradient (like almost all WoW zones), then yeah people get bored fast. Mobs that wander, rare (some unique) 'landmarks' that people will tend to congregate around, and with some unpredictability or at least significant differences between mobs, set out in a way that makes sense in a world point of view, and you might see a different story.

Might, not will, though, as it depends greatly on other factors.

SWTOR: 50 Jedi Shadow (Tank), 50 Sith Marauder (Annihilation).
LOTRO: Lifetime account, playing very casually.
WoW: Both accounts canceled for now.
GW2: Future Warrior.

Yikes they took your gear also? I got hacked and should have mentioned they did leave the on character items and the bags. So for this game, basically I could play but would like my stuff and cash back. ;p

If I had been stripped bare I would have quite, pretty certain on that, if I couldn't have played.

Several days now and no restore.

Good luck though. That stinks.
