I guess each expansion must have its DAoC comparison thread(s) from a few bored sad people who hoped WAR would be DAoC2 and have nothing better to do, and its "zomg the game is doomed" thread(s). Here, it's even better, we have both in the same thread, makes us win time and read faster

you tried completing Battle at the Abyssal Breach yet?

On two chars so far. No problem.

I know that's not aimed at me because I never assumed War would be DAoC2 and actually the game introduced (imho) some good gameplay mechanics that added to the genre. I had an incredible amount of fun in T1-T3! T4 was a mess. They killed it when they failed to understand their customers experience at endgame. Kind of what happened in ToA. They lost touch with what their customers wanted (RvR). The PvE aspect of ToA was actually fun if you could separate it from RvR requirements. (I realize I am a rare voice in that area.)

The concern with Cata, is also that: are they keeping in touch with their current customers' expectations/experiences. (Understanding that a lot of the changes are made specifically with new customers in mind.) And what I'm hearing so far is a mixed bag and maybe the pendulum swung too far in one direction on directed gameplay. It's obviously too early to tell.

Do not mistakes genuine concern about a game that is enjoyed for henny-penny-the-sky-is-falling-hysteria.

Enjoying a game is not the same as being blind to concerns/problems. Caring about it allows expression of same.

That aside, any extended underwater endeavors is of course to bring comparisons to ToA.

Problem is, outside of a few people are blizzard, WoW is all about the pocketbook and GC's ego.

I don't remember much, if any, of ToA being soloable.

Other than an underwater zone, I don't see the resemblance myself.

True. As soon as I heard 'underwater quests' I cringed and thought of Trial of Atlantis. But, so far, my experience is limited to Classic still as I redo a new character.

Same here. Troll more.

i finally managed to complete it today, Unless you did it today (well I guess it would be yesterday) you would of had a hard time completing it..

You can go to the WoW forums and view it yourself, Basically whenever someone would join in it would make all the NPC's disappear and cause you to drown, So either both of you are the luckiest players in the world, Or you're basically lying through your teeth.

Then there was the whole thing about Horde players not getting any Rep for completing quests in Vash, so while i'm revered for completing all the quests in Mount hyjal, i'm only friendly rep in Vash right now..

There was a ton of stuff in TOA soloable, fact you don't remember this tells me you don't remember Squat about TOA in the first place.

You should be careful before calling people liars, you can easily check in my armory linked in my sig when I got the 20.000 Leagues Under the Sea achievement. Yeah, you read correctly, 12/07/10, the day of the expansion release. And tons of people in my guild, except those who started in Hyjal, got it too without any problem.

You are giving this troll too much attention. He is the biggest fanboi douchbag on the WAR forums and was during Daoc too. Now he brings up TOA here after an expac is released. This is not a tough one to spot.

" I can't be the only one to to notice this expansion is TOA. "

It's not ToA.

There will likely be some similarities to other expansions, Blizz and non-Blizz, might make more sense to talk about a couple of specific things than saying something silly like Cat is ToA. It factually is not, this is self evident.
