Well I'm going by the...thread title.

The OP is very smart and a long time gamer and poster, I think they know the difference between something having a few similarities and something being the same thing.

A Lexus shares many many things in common with a Cadillac, but a Lexus is not a Cadillac.



I don't know about smart, but yeah he has been posting on these boards for a long time. Based on his postings in the past his intent was a backhanded dig on the new expansion. Guess he hopes it does poorly so he can somehow justify how crappy a company Mythic is.

Lich King was fun - but dragged on.

This expansion is probably the best yet. TBC was terrible, Wrath improved, Cata is fairly decent.

Playing casually for 9 hours so far I have one character to 82. YMMV

TOA was a massive grind fest. More so than anything WoW has ever had.

DAoC was a RvR game, therefore TOA = bad.

WOW is a PVE game, therefore ToA = fine.

I do love seeing old DAoC players coming here and instinctively coming down hard on the "TOA-ish" expansion though, it's entertaining.

TOA would be a huge hit in WOW imo.

I said the expansion reminded me of TOA, and a ton of people agree with me.

Does it mean I think WoW will fail with this expansion? Hell no.. you'd be a retard to think that.

i'm sayin they copied the crap out of them game though
