i am sad that i can't make leather armor look like cloth. back in the vanilla days i loved wearing the goblin rocket helmet cause it looked so badass. if i could wear that skin on my rogue again it would be epic...but alas it is cloth armor technically i believe. it would be cool if they make some sort of exception for trade skill helmets like that.

If you think my opinion is idiotic, re-read yours.
Dont worry I will give my opinion anyways.
The PvP MMO is NOT a "niche" market, Mythic is just a "niche" company.

Guess falling subs are good motivation to do things you said you would never do.

1. I've been hearing that the new gear swapping feature won't work for pvp gear. That isn't true, right?

That isn't true. Mogging will work with PvP gear. You can even swap the look of PvP gear to PvE and vice versa.

Sorry, I know I didn't address the rest of your concerns. I just don't have good or quick answers for them right now. <3

i saw on the official boards a couple threads about the idea of having an option in the interface menu to turn off all appearance customizations from showing. like if you checked that box then you would see the default skins for what everyone is wearing. i would love if they did that...that way everyone could get what they want

Having a hard time imagining why anyone would want this. I am far too tired of all the clones so anything that breaks up the visual boredom is a welcome change.

I love the idea of people being able to change the look of their gear, basically creating a "gear stealth" mode so scrubs that like pre-determined PVP fights wouldn't have at-a-glance intel on what a player might be capable of.

"Hey, that dude is wearing mooncloth robes on an 85! LOL!" /unstealths
/dies horribly
"Hey, WTF...I should have WTFpwned that n00b. /REPORTED!"

Many laughs would ensue.

well i think it would feel strange seeing so many people running around in clown sets. im sure many people will be trying to put together the strangest appearances using a mix of lowbie green item skins. seeing someone at max level with the best gear in the game but running around in mismatched tattered-looking armor takes away from what little immersion the game has left.

that of course translates into the strategy element of being able to select targets based on the type of gear they are wearing. of course for some scrubs that bit of strategy is too much too handle so it could be a welcome change for them.

i don't think situations like that mooncloth robe "gear stealth" idea could happen since in the system with gear reskinning it would be common knowledge that what you see is not what you get.

anyways thats why i think having that checkbox option would be nice. ideally it would be nice to have more choices in what your gear looks like, but clown suits are not the solution in my opinion.
