Believe it or not, we get gear appearance customization in 4.3 |
A cool feature, and I'm glad it's making people excited. But it's an interesting state of affairs when being able to make your character look like it did several years ago is one of the best things to happen to the game in a long time.
The thing I'm concerned about is that is this another cheap way of making the player base farm for stuff? Remember what a pain random tier drops are - so that means I'm running Molten Core solo for weeks on end to get gear so I can look that way? I really hope not.

thats probably exactly why they are doing it! there will probably be a tab like the pet or mount tab where you click an item to learn its skin. and achievements of course!

I think anyone who is whining about not being able to tell how geared someone at a glance is one of those losers who only attack someone if they know they will win.

^ Couldn't agree more.
Though WoW is still the 500 lb mmo gorilla, I think we're finally starting to see them feel the pressure from games like Rift, and the upcoming SWTOR and GW2. Too bad they didn't do stuff like this when I still actually wanted to play WoW... sigh.

You know if they lose another Million or 2 Million subs, housing will be added to the game.
Anyway, I'm done with WoW, I will be looking forward to GW 2, and also most likely play the single player game TOR.

So when is the guesstimated release for 4.3? All this stuff sounds great, but if it does not make it here till nov/dec then I won't care. (cause I will be neck deep in SWTOR most likely)
