You're probably right. Whatever he was doing at school that got him suspended was probably enough to kill him for, too.

didnt he refer to him as a "f'ing coon" on the tape? it pretty much makes him lose any credibility as far as self defense is concerned.

Remember the feds can't do anything about a murder charge, they are only investigating to see if there was a civil rights violation.

According to the list, he could have got a 10 days suspension for repeatedly using profane language.
CLEARLY THE KILLING WAS JUSTIFIED! 
P.S. The feds can do a lot. They can't independently charge the guy with murder but they can put a shiton of pressure on the dept. It's not like the guy was acquitted or anything. They can still press charges any time if they want to.

Yeah maybe but he did say "it was self defense!" like five or six times so that should more than counteract the one racial slur

I heard that the police report said the neighborhood watch guy had gone back to his car after chasing the kid and the kid followed him and confronted the guy at his car. So that he was just defending himself.

That actually would not surprise me since, you know, the only person able to counter this version of events was lying nearby in a pool of blood, dead.
