Of course, Zimmerman had a gun so he was a 'big guy' and wasn't afraid to confront people. This is why idiots shouldn't be allowed to carry weapons.

Among the key points in the report, the detectives claim it was actually prosecutors who advised them they did not have enough evidence to win a manslaughter conviction.
The investigators said George Zimmerman, the man who shot Martin, told them initially that he did get out of his car to follow Martin on foot, but the 17-year-old came at him.
The two got into a fight, and when they were on the ground, Zimmerman claimed Martin hit him in the face and that Zimmerman began yelling for help, the investigators said.
Police said Zimmerman's account, which was corroborated by witnesses, indicates Martin was the aggressor.
There have also been differing accounts about whom witnesses heard crying for help that night, but the lead detective on the case says he played a recording of that voice for Martin's father and the Miami man said the voice was not his son's.

I already have issues with the Concealed Carry permits. My thinking had been people that have them only need to protect themselves because they are looking for trouble and by virtue of that fact are exactly the people that shouldn't have them (except may PIs). So this Zimmerman here is doing exactly what he shouldn't be, he is following random people around and harrassing them. He killed a child in a confrontation that should never have happened and then the police didn't even really investigate or even arrest him.
The police pressed charges on a guy who offered some girls a ride but Zimmerman shoots and kills and black kid after 911 told him to stop and he's still allowed to be free? He was told not to confront him and he ignored it.
edit: If you can only make your case by putting lies for what i've written then it proves that you have absolutely no case.

I keep reading this guy is supposedly going to get off because of the whole stand your ground law...
Yet the guy that helped write it says no part of the law allows you to pursue a confrontation with someone, its (supposedly) written for only defending yourself... we know for a fact the guy pursued the kid.. so Im at a loss as to why he is still free.

What makes stand your ground work here is the fact that the guy walked away and didnt initiate the fight.
Also stop calling this a child or kid. He was a 6'2" 17 year old teenager. Not some 13 year old child like the old pictures the media keep showing.
