I have yet to die to SNN on my warlock in any recent memory. I mean, yeah I'll die to it when I get hit by an FG or many hibs and not want to purge.
But Purge 5 > SNN. Plus no Hib caster is going to straight outcast my lock =o).
Most casters have something to counter something like SNN.
A pet.
A NS.
A longer range cast (Bolt or Pets).

Hehe, I don't 8man or zerg anymore... so it's all smallman/solo (since this is what this thread is about).
No one brought up solo or small man before your initial post about det9.

It's quite retarded to expect people to let you 1v1 in an MMO imho... when I run solo.. I just accept that crap is going to happen... if you can't cope with it.. play a 1v1 game imho.

Sure crap happens... doesn't mean you have to like it.. not that this is ever going to get changed anyway.. and hey.. it's always a good topic to get people going :-P .. come to think of it.. maybe we need mashable purge to fix this!

Well since your WL can chamber dump the minute the stun drops.. you can insta rupt/NS the hib when the stun drops... a class without insta 1500+ range spells will have to use QC+cast, which is slow as hell and will just mean you die to the 5th nuke you receive from the hib. Your WL could also potentially have a heal chambered, to insta recover the dmg done to you in stun.

I always try to kill without stun on my eld to avoid these kinda posts 
I really wanna solo on him more again, but damnit if there aren't 100 archers at any given point on the realm map 
That being said, id still trade stun for root, and I can bet it'd make twice the QQ stun does

How many QQ's against alb/mid casters having root have you seen in the last 10 years?! Heck how many have you seen against animists, where a root is like the best type of CC to have since they can backload their damage.
