Ya, there is a lot of cheese in this game and most others. Way I see it: have fun, try hard if you like, and enjoy life.
I'm lazy thats why I like being a lab rat. I can play lazy down there and still be fairly competitive. I did the 8v8 thing in OF and early NF and I just feel like it's turned into a profession. I'd rather chill after work and just play rather then be wired tight and trying to be GOOD. Good at DAoC and 4.95 will get me a cup of coffee at starbucks.

Back on Bossiney we were more interested in keeping things fun for our guildies then we were in being good. Our healer was aug specced and half crippled, so we had to pick up fava as a second healer. They were good people if not good players, and I was happy to be guildies with them. I'd by far prefer that to the elitest douchebags who talk shit that infest the vn.

If improving my game play translated into a raise at work, promotion or something tangible, I might be more interested in what they have to say. Since I don't care about in game or vn e-cred, worrying about bettering myself in game means nothing to me.

i always strive to improve myself not for the approval of others but for self satisfaction. i would hate to come upon any situation and feel as if i didn't learn something new or how to do something better regardless of it being a video game or real life.

It's awesome to see that you're constantly looking to better yourself in everything you do. Me, I'm lazy. When I get home from work, I'm not looking to work at much of anything; I wish to relax. This game is something to do to relax, I don't want to be wired tight, ready to twitch at a moments notice. Those days are long gone for me. Now, I'm perfectly content to be a baddie and chill with other baddies, while I half pay attention to what's going on in game. To each their own.
