By the way, I want to add in. I've been playing my mentalist the past couple days... easy money with pretty much everyone; there have been maybe 5 people who actually played ball. Most people just ate my mez, purged, ate my stun, never came back...

Thank you for the bad everyone who has donated.

So what's the alternative?

Logically it would be to remove stun from elds, ments and chanters and give them a root instead.

Then give bard a baseline single target stun, spec aoe stun, spec insta stun and spec aoe insta stun.

Are you sure that you want that?

I fail to see how moving baseline single target stun away from eld/ment/chanter to another class suddenly warrants adding AOE stun, insta stun and AOE insta stun.
Just swap bard root with eld/ment/chanter stun... at least you'll need people assisting to use it then..
Doesn't destroy 8v8 or group v group or smallman.. but fixes the ZvZ / BG play.

Kind of shows the point that the purge excuse doesn't work... sure they are silly to purge the mezz.. but even if they don't, the next spell will be a nearsight (and disease if you were an eld).. which they would have to clear if they want to be able to do something back.. but if they purge it.. you SNN them into the ground.

The point was, why purge my mez? Because of player quality.
The mez is just for people to burn purge, because they're unsure of how to play. SNN is easy to counter, just funny that people really don't know how to play alone or in small groups. Your weak player can only stick in their zerg and when they eat SNN it's game over, even normal players that eat a stun in a zerg will know what to do.

By the way =oD

Menty 1 & Menty 2

First one was piddling around in laby last night and second was sitting on South Bold bridge... up to 5 minutes ago rofl (and an hour before that). Not saying that's great stats, and I honestly didn't want to play Hib when they had the relics... but because of all these QQ posts the past month; pretty much had to get some free rps on the menty.

Sounds like you use stun as crutch. I don't blame you, if you can, do...but a crutch none the less. I wouldnt want to give it up either if I had it...but I wouldnt play it off like its not any good.

Weak has nothing to do with whether one plays in a zerg or not.. some do it because they only have 30 minutes of playtime, some because they like it, some because they need a change of pace, some because their buddies aren't on, some for teh realm, some <<insert any other reason>>

And those 'normal' players that eat a stun in a zerg have 1 option.. check if purge is up.. else die. If they are in a group and in vent, maybe try and scream for heals and hope for the best

The only time I have seen a hib caster nuke someone without stunning them first is when they are assisting another hib caster that is doing the stunning. Yet they all claim them really don't need it.

Yep. They DON'T need it. My body sorc can kill fine without it...just like they could. Stun nuke just makes it EASY...which is why they try to convince people it's no good. They constantly say "purge it" (on a 5 min timer for purge 5 IIRC, only have purge 4 myself on a 10 min timer), while stun immunity is on a minute timer. In a long fight the first one might not get you, the second one will though. They don't like to bring that up though.

They also say it lasts 2 seconds. Yeah, on a det 9 sto tank. The casters they are blowing up with stun nuke have no such defense, but they don't like to discuss that either.

Do I blame them for using it? No, I don't. I sure as hell would if I had it. But to play it off like it's not really all it's cracked up to be, and only bads die to it because they can purge is disingenuous and self-serving at best. That's why they don't push for a root instead of stun which they mostly claim would be far better anyways

That's pretty terrible rp/kills for soloing as a rank 6.
