me is nothing more then a buggy update of 98, so that is almost certainly not supported either.


and if im not mistaken me isn't officially supported by turbine for ac:tod either.

Nerfus Buffus, Robochef, and spell component plugins (before the switch to tapers, which I hate BTW because of the loss of pack space and additional burden but use because there are no more working spell component plugins) kept me in the game off and on. I definately would not have continued playing off and on if I had to do all of the tedious things that felt like a chore. Pressing so many buttons and clicking, dragging, etc. so many times does not equate to fun. I also don't think I have personally chased anyone out of the game. If I have personally chased you out of the game, please let me know, I think I can make it right.

ME is closer to Win98 then WinXP.


I'm one of the few people where WinME actually ran better then Win98 on my system at home.

Actually, I was referring to the plugins that would drag and stack the comps in my packs. That was the part I hated. Buying with the comp buyer was a half-finished step IMO because they only got rid of half of the PITA.

Didn't SortIt still work? I mean up until ToD that is... I USED to use Sort It, and found it pretty helpful, but when I switched to tapers, it really wasn't necessary for me anymore.

Sort It! worked just fine up until ToD, and that and Einstein are the first two plugins I'm gonna make work.


Windows 98 and ME are both supported by ToD and DirectX9. The OSes are NOT supported by Microsoft. The decision to drop them saves us a little bit of work, but other than that is primarily arbitrary. We don't like Win9x, we don't WANT to support 9x, we don't HAVE to support 9x, so we are doing ZERO additional work that would be done solely for Win9x. Mostly this involves finding 'special' mouse memlocs.


If for some magical reason, the mouse works afterwards and Win9X somehow works without thoese memlocs, fine, but it won't be our fault.

Imperil, do you seriously think EQ isn't more hacked up that AC?


Perhaps you should go start a sub with them, join an uber guild and get some of the hacks running.


You can teleport anywhere in a zone, to the zone entrance, to an object in the zone, etc.


AC is not as hacked as some of the others, if, and this is a big if, you had any clue what you were talking about.


AC - sure, some people macro, but there is a LOT worse going on in at least EQ 1.
