I think an English class would be of service to you Imperil. It is only cheating if it violated the laws of the game. Decal is supported therefore, by definition, it is NOT a cheat.

You can add Mekle, Hazridi, Arkayas and Azreal, but for the most part, Drakier and Gouru have been the most public.

I hope Decal will be back as I too believe it would be the death of AC if it doesn't, but I agree with Inoki here. I really don't care if someone who can't play without tank leaves the game.

There are plenty of replacements available for each function of tank, most being much better than tank's built in ones, the only thing you can't replace is the combat macroing part. If someone who can't play without a combat macro quits, it's a good thing for AC.

I agree. I miss decal and cant wait for it to be back up and running. you all have done some great work over the years and without you all now I think the game would just die out.

I think the main think I cant wait for is so I dont have to selfbuff anymore. I will also have to read the COC again now to make sure I can run my buff bot for my monarchy still but if not then at least I wont have to sit here and hit button after button just to buff.


Again thanks for all the hard work you all have put into this project over the years.

If I made decal I would just stop work on it right now and then see what these whinners do or I would say It is dead and continue to work on it. Geez people give them a break it isn't like they don't have real jobs to do also

Getting back somewhat on track, not that I still use Win98, is the reason that it will no longer be supported is because of technical problems, time, both, or something else?


I think that more than a few people will be "annoyed". If it is time related, do you guys think that the memlocs can be found out later and Win98 support added back? Or is this just a convient time to '86 the whole 98 support?

Some people are having problems just running TOD. The more plug-ins you have the more memory it takes. If haveing Tank can cut your plugins down to 1 for everything (discount the combat macro) then you would be able to have the function and not the overhead of 10 diffrent plugins.


While I agree that losing someone who combat macros is a good thing I don't think that you shoudl genralize El-Tank that way. I use it for Chatting, ICR, Buffing, ID and detection (but I still use BS2 cause I can really customize it), Portals, and Tracking what I lost on what body.

Big reason is that going from Win98 to WinXP was a big OS change, going from Win95 to Win98 was minor compared to that. Plus it probably means most of the Decal devs are using WinXP (or 2000) and don't have test systems available to try things out on Win98.

For the 3 people who haven't upgraded off that "death OS" ... aka WindowsME ... does ME fall into the Win95/98 side or the Win2k/XP side of the cut?


I'm thinking that it will fall on the Win95/98 side because of the lack of testing systems, but you never know who has what in their test bed.


Sorry to keep asking specific questions, but alot of people do not venture to other boards for info. They rely on people like me to get the answers and report back. As we speak, I have 1 person PMing me asking what the status of Decal and TPAs are. Not to mention people in my guild who do not venture off our boards.
