I know that you were the origianl poster on this thread and with all due respect to Drakier but if you say something is dead then until we hear "from the horses mouth" that decal is back on I am not sure who's posts I should be reading. You posted that all work on Decal had been stopped due to the change in the COC which has now been reverted. After Ibn posted on this thread that that change was comming and when it did in fact happen 2 days later I am sure that you should have posted a quick note "Decal is being worked on again". And I am sure that most of the Decal useres would sit and wait till it was pronuced DONE and ready.....If it take 2 weeks or 2 months.

First...where did I ever say that all work on Decal has stopped? Do you just read titles and not the content? Did the reference I make to a 'joke post' go right over your head?


When I stated that Einstein alone was enough reason for me to keep fighting for Decal, did you think it was some other Decal I was referring to? Or that I could possibly fight for something while killing it?


My statements were clear to ANYBODY that would take the time to read them.

With the change in CoC all unattended play (not just combat) is now forbidden. This includes tradebots, craftbots, tinkbots, buffbots, and virtually any other kind of bot you can think of. (well...technically, standing unattended with no 3rd party utilites loaded in one place doing absolutely nothing is still legal)


However, according to Ibn, they are not changing their enforcement standards, which based on past performance would mean to me that if a particular envoy on a particular day decides to enforce some part of the CoC, you will be banned.


They spent quite a bit of time crafting their old CoC to help clarify what is and isn't legal. The good news is the new one is very clear. The bad news is that most uses of Decal are now against the CoC.


Removing the functionality that makes botting possible also removes all the functionality required for proper use of Decal, and as best I can tell, anything we do will be against the CoC.


Not wanting to put our toons at risk. Decal is now officially dead.

That is your post. YOU said it was dead. (Note: You said OFFICIALLY dead. To some people, that implies that you are speaking for the other Devs.) YOU said you didn't know if that was a joke or not. So how in the frell are we supposed to know?
