Game gets more boring post level 20.
FYI for anyone who wants the PvP soul tree, you can buy it at the main PvP vendors in primary cities (only one I've seen so far for the Defiant is in Meridian, but I guess that there is a major city in every zone). It costs 2500 favour and fits into one of your three soul slots.
For those that haven't looked into the PvP soul tree, the PvP tree itself basically splits into two indifidiual trees. The most points you'll probably spend on this tree is 21 out of the available 66.

Got my Cleric to 10 and I love him! Oh.. and if you have been following you might find this funny. He is a Dwarf. ><
So is mine, only I'm sure she's er... cuter. yeah...
Actually the dwarf males somehow look ok with a druid pet (if they use one.) They kinda look like flitty little drink tenders, yanno, you just grab it and use it to stir your beer... ok.. nevermind...
Loving both the druid/sham/ward combo for solo/dps/backup healing (solid little ATV!) and the sent/purifier/ward for real healing.
I rolled it just to provide group support for my guild and I'm totally hooked.
Don't know when I'm going to get to the other class combos I want to try out....(gonna have to be way past release. )
Speaking of which... I heard rumors there were going to be 2 more beta events before release. Anybody else pick up anything?

There are those who play tank classes, and those that tank.

My understanding is that there will be 2 more 'events', one will be similar to this one, shorter, perhaps a closed event. There will be a final weeklong open beta before release on February 24 or thereabouts.
It is concerning, if that is even close to the offcial release date, that they haven't yet come close to releasing end game content yet. All we are getting is incremental content, ala WoW expansions. Level 30 is a long way from level 50, and I grow more concerned as I progress through levels that there hasn't been much thought placed into the end game beyond recreating a WoW-style gear grind.
I am also becoming more concerned about the zone-wide rift events. I have now experienced no less than 3 different zone-wide events in Freemarch, some harder, some easier to complete. But what happens to these events once the average population is beyond the first zone. Does the zone become unplayable for thirty minutes every 2-3 hours? Each of these events requires a large to huge zerg to even have a chance of completing, and I am really wondering how Trion will counter this problem If anyone played WoW during the Cataclysm lead-up event, I feel as though what happened to the major cities will happen here too in Rift, except zone-wide. Only occasionally will there be enough people to complete these events.
Some will claim that these events scale for the amount of people in the zone, but this has not been my experience as of yet. Earlier today I moved into Stonefield on the Defiant side (a 20+ zone) and the first zone wide event was simply impossible. The public group ended up with about 6 people in it, and we only closed about 5 rifts before we failed the event. I think these could end up being a major annoyance if there isn't enough poplation in the zone to at least compete with the invaders.

i have noticed there are certain items on the ground you can click that helps you as your fighting the rifts. had one for an extra 25% dmg and 1 that healed me over time, also saw 1 that gave you endurance or what back as well.
As for myself i can careless about end game, i have come to the conclusion that in MMO's, including WoW that all end games just doesn't work for me. As long as this game is good enough to last me for an easy 6mnths, i will be very happy.
the hardest part on this game i'm finding is that they give you way to many options. I have 3 soul tree's but not nearly enough points to put things in. I'm glad i have the options but its like i'm staring at 2 other tree's knowing i will never use 1/8 of the skills in it.

I feel the same way. Too many options, not enough points. It'd feel better if they limited us to classes per role so I don't feel like I'm wasting things. I feel they tried to copy WoW's talent system too hard here. They could have adapted it to fit their needs unless there is something we don't know about later where you gain more points.

Well-voiced concerns.

Aye, refers to what I was saying about rifts needing some (serious) balancing.
They gonna bleed players quick if they leave it the way it is right now, people don't pay to be annoyed.

I mentioned in an earlier post, they need to have an AI or some sort of measure that takes how many people are in the zone at a current time and have the rift/invasions scaled to fit the load of players on at that time. if there are 100 people in the zone then spamming 10 invasions at once works fine.. however if there are only 10 people in the zone 2-3 invasions at once is doable.
There was a huge and i mean HUGE difference between playing the game in the morning and in the evening. I was on a pvp server and having fun with some RP and got a bunch of other folks in to it and roaming with me In the evening when the kids were out of school and the servers were over flowing chat scrolled so fast with wow crap you couldnt have any meaningful conversation or get anyone to follow to specific invasions/rifts however due to sheer numbers the invasions were outzerged.
It definitely needs some fine tuning in the aspect of invasions vs player load.

What server are you on?
You need to be punted.
Or is it punting for gnomes, and tossing for dwarves?
I never can keep that straight.
