This game isn't built for PvP, I don't know where you're getting that. Also you're forgetting you'll only have 2 of the 3 Souls from the first set. There is a PvP soul specifically with bonuses and skills based around PvP.

thats news to me.. every vid log i have watched and browsing their site .. its all about pvp this pvp that.. ect mixed in with the pve aspects as well

The only thing insulting my IQ is that long ass post when all you had to say was "I've been burned before, and I'm bitter".
PvP will never be balanced, so just stop trying to find it. You can't balance player skill. It's that simple.
As for PvE, sure there will be min/max specs, but who cares it's PvE.

I know recently they've been talking about PvP, but I've always been under the impression this is a PvE game with 2 Factions for random world PvP and some BG's.

Come on in, the water's fine, the people are friendly and the chat is mature. Just don't ask for anymore WoW-like features in the game, and it's all good. 
Beta download's been going on my comp starting this morning, because I was busy all weekend playing alpha.
