It is a sight to see for sure, someone said he lacks self awareness, at least we never have to worry about him mimicking Skynet!

Just....a.....few....more.....days....then we can play Rift again

Another opening, another show....

DAoC was a great show in its day. It had its run on Broadway. And anyone with any kind of business sense understands the design decisions that led to its decline.

LotRO is little bitty off-Broadway show that is nothing but a SIMS fashion parade for RP junkies. Nobody has figured out why the show is still going, except for the penultimate carebear audience that has an addiction to dyed velvet.

WoW's show is still going, but it's getting stale. And it's like the producers are making random changes to costumes / sets / leads to try and keep it fresh and bring in replacement viewers.

RIFT is the new kid on Broadway. Opening SOON! Lots of hype. But no reviewers or critics have seen the whole production yet.

Broadway is all bright lights and fantasy. And shows come and go. Many are entertaining. And some are memorable.

Auen... you got all philosiphicycleized and what not!

The pve in Rift may or may not be good. The pvp in Rift may or may not be good. However, it will be NEW. And the soul system has been really fun to play with so far. Again, it may or may not be a total flop. But if I get even a month or two's worth of enjoyment from it, I consider it worth it.

I enjoy WoW, and will continue to play it with friends. That said, new expansion and my main is already out of things to do other than wait for resets.

In general I enjoy the PvE in Rift, but I do not find it to be any different than WoW.

I also like the PvP so far, but it's mainly because I'm learning how to do it again, i know how to pvp as a feral druid, but not as a straight up healer, or non-stealthing rogue lol.

The soul system is a blast, and I look at the various calendars daily and try to come up with new cool combos lol.

It's only a little bit new. Much of it is very much the same.

All MMO's are the same it just a cow of a different colour. That said taking the same stuff put togeather just a little differently can be refreshing.

The only game that was fresh new and had the holly cow factor was UO on release! Every other game after that was an updated copy of it, and now they are all just a mish mash of every MMO out there, games take what they like from each other all the time, funny how alot of folks think everyone stole from WoW and WoW just came up with everything on their own.

Totally disagreeing here.
Ultima Online / Asheron's Call / SWG (at release) are all very different from EQ/DAoC/EQ2/WoW/LOTRO/Rift/Aion/WAR/AoC and all the other EQ clones.
All it takes is some major dev to really grow a decent pair of <censored> to get something REALLY different from what invaded the market nowadays.

SWTOR: 50 Jedi Shadow (Tank), 50 Sith Marauder (Annihilation).
LOTRO: Lifetime account, playing very casually.
WoW: Both accounts canceled for now.
GW2: Future Warrior.
