Very simple.
December comes SW:TOR.
Then, first half 2012 comes GW2.
Blizzard wants to make sure some <censored adjective> people will pay in advance for their game so even if they leave for those new games, they still gave money for WoW.
Nice trap, and it will work just fine.

I'll probably bite on this. I'm still playing and it hasn't become a bad habit like my last year of AC did. I probably would have bought D3 anyway, so it seems all good.

i'm not interested in any of the upcoming mmo's. i have friends and family that play wow. i want diablo 3. no brainer i guess. i'd have kept wow around to mess around with anyway for at least half that time regardless.

Eh, I can't commit to being interested in this game for another year. I haven't been able to play for more than 2-3 months without a 6 month break for the last couple years.

Killer dealer. I am almost tempted to get it myself but I am not playing WoW right now and wont until next spring at the earliest or when the expansion pack comes out and I plan on getting the Diablo 3 Collectors Edition.
