More troubling then the whole 'bring the dead baby home' fiasco is his 'abortion for me, but not for thee' stance.

There are so many other nutty things about Santorum that you don't need to hang your hat on the stillbirth story.

This was an abortion? I thought it was a still born. Have yet to go read up anything on it, or spend ah hour watching a video.
Santorum is a non factor Presidentially. Liberals are only get angry over this because they like to.
Edit: exactly Kjar.

His wife had an abortion in 1997. He gave an interview about it to the Philly Inquirer.
If you want to read about it, here is a link (note - you won't like the editorializing, but the facts are accurate)
I think they are separate incidents, but I could be wrong.

The same twisted windsnipes could be used against funerals, wakes, cremation, or any other way that people handle the death of loved ones.
Its funny that most of the people commenting negatively about the private family business of Santorum are the same people that meltdown about him sticking his nose in people's bedroom business.
So many little Santorums running around here.
No one that I am aware of is talking about the government preventing him from taking his dead baby home. The discussion is about whether or not we are comfortable having him be the President of the USA.

No, it's the same event. The editorializing is to call it an abortion, which is a flat-out lie. The child was delivered and lived outside the mother for two hours.
GAH, I hate that you dumbasses actually have me defending this bigot. At least get your facts straight. There's more than enough go after him without stooping into bullshit blogs. Hell, just before Iowa he said in regards to welfare reform "I don't want to give blacks handouts, I want to give them opportunities". Not really a terrible thing to say in and of itself, but the fact that he automatically equates welfare to blacks is pretty bad.

Its not defending Santorum ZZ, don't think it is. Its defending the right of a family to legally mourn their dead any way they choose without public/government intrusion.

Dishonesty exists on both sides of the aisle. If you think I'm shifting my political stance to defend Santorum it says a lot more about you than it does me in my opinion.

It's just not a factor I'd consider in weighing him as a candidate. The fact that he would be comfortable with a Christian version of Sharia Law enforced upon us is more than enough reason for me to discount him, though.
