Delivering a living child is not an abortion, induced or otherwise. Saying otherwise is playing a level of semantics that normally only Paul would delve into.

I'm not the one playing semantic games - Santorum is.

I would definitely say on the sliding scale that not allowing exemptions for the health of the mother is way more extreme than jailing doctors for cutting a fetus in half.

Just looked it up.
He is on record stating that he is for exceptions.
Exception for rape & incest ok, even though they take a life. (Sep 2006)

Tali do you have a credible link for his no exceptions for the woman's health?

The ole 'if your father is an asshole' exception to absolute morality...

Yes, but the problem is one affects the other. If you start jailing doctors for abortion, you are going to have an incredibly difficult time finding doctors to perform them. It won't matter if the exemption presents itself, who the hell would want to take that risk?

My issue with him isn't his bats**t obsession with more-pro-life-than-thou media stunts. That is part and parcel of today's Republican Party and the only reason why Mitt didn't pull the same dead-fetus stunt is because he didn't think of it first.

The main thing is his rabid gay-bashing that makes the average Republican look like towelboys for the local bath-house. He crudely tries to dog-whistle to the queerstomper vote just like Nixon playing the Southern Strategy to attract racists. The problem is that America has taken a sharp turn over the last 10-20 years on the issue and people no longer approve of gay-bashing. They have gay relatives/friends/Sobaki and the average middle-50% centrist independent voter, the guy is like Bull Connor.

Also, his name is synonymous with frothy fecal matter.

He would be a very good VP choice for Romney. Ron Paul is too proud and he would be hard to control. Sarah Palin while hot is a dingbat

Only problem with that, is that he's a Republican. He is trying to carry middle America...

Here's a map of middle America according to gays and lesbians.

I don't think his stance on gays really hurts his voting demographic as much as most sane people would hope. Then again, hopefully I am wrong...
