You have to figure out what makes you happy and do it, I have friends that make a lot more money than me but hate their job and their life in general... the only time they seem happy is the false happiness of being drunk.
I find my happiness in the small things of life, if I land a great job fine if I keep the one I have now till retirement thats fine to cause I can pay my bills and have something left over for vacations and ill be set in retirement.. (as long as the govt doesnt collapse)

"People are hard-wired to believe in God"
There's a massive difference between 'God' and 'Heaven' that I trust, even on the Outpost, I don't need to explain.
There's a pretty divergent set of views on reincarnation/cycles vs an ultimate end vs infinite lives/dimensions.
There's also a pretty divergent set of views about 'God' as the non-sentient power that binds... sentient being that tests... sentient being that loves... etc.
Many of these beliefs do not include some 'magical block of cheese' at the end of the cosmic maze that makes all your boo boos better.

I don't think the vast majority of people are suffering anywhere near something like a horse with a broken neck and two snapped legs, writhing on the ground trying to move still and obviously in tortured confused pain. You seem to be approaching this subject like a lot of people are, constantly.

Its very sad when you think death is the only way out. Most people when they try to commit suicide have their bodies rebel against this and they want to change their minds but its impossible and they die.

Being alive is better than being dead. I dont think that people who want death really know what they are wanting

I don't really see what that guy has to do with anything.
He wants to be alive. Which I have no problem with.
The question posed was:
Should people want to be alive?
I still haven't seen anything that has convinced me people should want to be alive.

Why shouldn't they? I believe life is happier than it is unhappy for the vast majority of people.

People want to be alive because its instinctive. They overule their instincts and kill theirselves even though their bodies to the very end say, "I WANT TO LIVE"
Clearly they needed mental health help instead

I haven't said anyone shouldn't want to live.
I just asked why people should want to live.
It's not like you're going to regret killing yourself.
