I've lived in my house long enough where it wouldn't be a problem. Plus I have a generator that powers the house when we lose power. Its a matter of making sure there is gas in it and turning a key.

Besides the 6 working flashlights in the house and the improvised stuff (phones, the tiny "charged" LED on stuff, etc), there are 2 kerosene lamps on wall brackets. The white-gas mantle lamp is out in the shed. More flashlights in the trucks.
Oh, and the light on the Saiga 12.

Yes. I have a couple of flashlights and a battery powered lantern. Need to get a few small LED flashlights and put them around the apartment too

My power just went out a few minutes ago and the first flashlight I got to was dead. I got to another one less than 30 seconds after the power went out. I could easily have gotten to two more if I'd needed to.
Very windy here tonight.
Coyotes are going crazy.
My cell phone sits on my nightstand. It has a flashlight app. So I could find that would help me find the rest.

2 flashlights in 5-15s, plus the gas stove in another 10s.
But the important thang - I can reach MY GUN in the dresser in 2s.
