Oh the one I used it called SleepMaster. It basically just runs while you sleep on your bed and picks up vibrations from you moving around. The theory being it is easier to wake up when you're moving a lot. How it works is when it is about time for the alarm to come off and it detects you moving a lot it'll wake you up. You can set the window for this detection before the wake time (I have mine for 15 mins)

lol, I think it does but I forget. I know I used to not use it and waking up sucked. I think it has to do with the alarm sounds also, using my own one is so much better
