We're talking about indirect condescending things. IE Chief, buddy,boss, sport..

I call people chief or captain all the time. Never thought about it being condescending, but don't really care if people get butthurt about it....not like I'm going to stop. |

Same. I use both those words a lot depending on the situation and how I say it you can't mistake it's meaning.

A lot of people with authority of some kind say to to someone with no authority or power as a dig
People with authority play dominance games all the time. Run into it with store managers all the time. I dont let it bother me though. Who cares what they think. They work at a gas station
