I think medication really helped me. I didnt take a huge dose but it seemed to help

in a majority of cases there are other reasons for ailments aside from "chemical imbalance". or theres a natural cause for the "chemical imbalance".

My brother was diagnosed with ADHD years before it was all the 'hype' that it is now and I can assure you it was not due to lack of discipline from our parents.
To assume that it's an "invented" disorder for lazy parents is a grossly ignorant statement.
When he actually took the medication that prescribed him there was a noticeable difference in his behavior, enough that at 10 years old I could see it.

The result is that a high end psychologist has a lot more training in addressing mental health issues in ways that don’t involve popping a pill. In some ways that are even better suited to determine if therapy or a pill is the best option.
Meanwhile we have GPs prescribing antidepressants.
This is a major part of the problem. Everyone defaults to using drugs as an answer.

i think you are misusing the term "work"
drugs do something.
as much acid as ive done im here to tell you that adding foreign chemicals to the body can have all kinds of effects.
thats not the issue here.
the issue here is that youre not "fixing" anything but adding foreign chemicals into the mix. your masking or covering problems.
ADHD is an invented "disorder" to give an easy way out. instead of finding out how to calm the kid down or keep his interest, he gets sedated. its easier that way.
again, a chiropractor can not "fix" back problems caused by your dumbasses lazy posture and bad choice of shoes.
and drugs dont "fix" problems caused by bad parenting or lazyness

Drugs in many cases are needed. In some cases they clearly arnt. Get a second opinion. I needed drugs and my brother still needs them.

Perhaps the next civil rights will be crazy people. The liberals are running out of people to march for. Getting a new group on board will be a big boon to their election chances. I keep waiting for the court ruling that gives minorties the right to vote twice; to make up for not being able to vote 50 years ago.
