I was at Oregon State the same years as Payton. That was such a joy to see. My favorite players are the ones who play the hardest and the smartest.
Kemp and Payton were pretty much opposites. Kemp was all about athleticism. Payton could barely dunk. In fact I think I saw him miss more dunks than he made.

Isn't this old news? I was living in Seattle at this time. A bunch of millionaire owners wanted the taxpayers to pay for their new toys. We said no so they pouted and left. Boohoo....
