Wait...

What was the price of a gallon of gas under Bush?

$4.21 in July 2008.

Was that Bush's fault or was that also the evil Obama?

It's the fault of whomever's in charge. That's Obama atm. In 2008 it was Dubya. Same thing in 2001. in 2000 it was Clinton. In 1990 it was his dad. In 1980 it was Carter. etc.

When I lived in Oregon there were no self serve stations. Against state law. Maybe that has since changed.

I was just in Cambria CA for a week. The cheap stuff was $4.69 there. About 80 miles north of there right on Highway 1 is the gas station that is notoriously the most expensive in the nation. They didn't have a sign up when I drove past on my way home. It wouldn't surprise me if they were charging $5.21 tho.

There are several stations down here close to OIA that never post their prices. They typically charge $2/$3 per gallon more than whatever the going rate is. I haven't been down there lately but I assume they're up around $6 or $7 a gallon if not more. They do this to trap tourists and businesspeople who rent cars from the airport. They have to return the cars with the tanks topped off, and many people forget to get gas until they're almost to the airport, by that time it's too late.

People have bitched about it a lot but it is perfectly legal to not post your prices in FL so buyer beware.

$4.42 a gallon for premium on the marine base this morning. $.50 higher than a couple of weeks ago.
