Feel free to find out if that's a dated photo but I don't think it is. He was a skinny 17 year old kid. He looks about as dangerous as a Jonas brother.
The picture they keep showing on the MSM websites is definitely a dated photo. A 2 second search on Facebook and you can find a newer photo and he looks much older.
I would link it but I'm on my cell phone and I honestly don't care to prove you wrong.

In reading up on Zimmerman, I don't think he's a racist in the way folks generally mean when they call someone a racist. He didn't appear to have a problem with black folks in general, just with young black males. And, it's not even clear if it was just young black males or young unknown to him males.
Going way into speculation territory, it wouldn't surprise me if he had something like Asperger's Syndrome, or, maybe, another mild form of autism, or, maybe, the slightly mentally impaired kind of guy who really is fixated on order and routine.
He was constantly calling the police about pot holes, or warning neighbors about their garage doors being up, or young kids being close to high ways. You get the sense that he had a very strong concept of what his neighborhood should be like and got a bit stressed out when it didn't match expectations. That's consistent with Aspergers or mild impairment.
Of course, with very limited information about the guy, this is, as I say, very speculative.
