I believe at the margin is this question: Should the present series have been left undeveloped or is this entertaining enough to qualify the project as a quality art work in progress? It's a stand alone for me. I gave up on the second book. The series is good enough for me and the girls I go out with. i'm definitely looking forward to the next one.

The dwarf is a scene stealer.

The tv show is great but the books are better and Tyrion is my favorite character in the series. He is complex and interesting.

There's not much they can do about it. They have chosen to go for fan service for existing fans rather than adapt the work more heavily for TV to appeal to people who haven't read the books. They had to choose one or the other. If they had chosen the other ways the fanbois would be sending them death threats for deciding not to include the boring characters and storylines.

It would have been easy for them to lose the weight of what comes later if they rushed into season 2. I was impressed by the pace and the foundations they laid out. They nailed it actually.

They either need to stop adding new characters or start killing off the old ones a lot faster. It's not very satisfying to watch everybody take a single baby step each episode. I'd wait until the season's over and watch them all at once for an improved experience but I don't think I can pass up the compelling opportunity to offer negatively-charged contrary opinions every week.

I did that with 1st season, saw whole series in 2 afternoons.
But it was good enough for me to start immediately this time

Nice to see Dubrovnik in 1st scene of new season

I think its going to get cancelled. This show is going to lose viewers and it looks expensive to make.

- too many characters, too much dialogue, confusing to follow, many of them look the same. Needs a lot more action. They wait till the end and give a cliffhanger, half the time its a cliffhanger you dont even care about.

They need to make it two hours.
