hmmm..?? so no one can come up with a reason other then heightened awareness to play an inf? <<<< as the original subject question was? just their opinions on class balances eh?, which wasn't the question..

Before the NS love patch the balance of High RR assassins was:

SB>NS>INF

Now:

SB=NS>INF

Granted the seperation isn't like the seperation between a reaver and a inf, but still its easier to succeed on a NS or SB than an infiltrator.

Apparently you can make things up, how exactly does one use camo as a get away tool after a kill?

As has been mentioned the game isn't balanced on solo play, perhaps the Inf is slightly lacking compared to it's counterparts but the problem with boosting them is they get to group with Scouts and Minstrels. Remove the fact that Scouts are arguably the strongest stealther atm the fact that Alb has the Minstrel has always put Alb stealth groups far above Mid and Hib groups.
When I used to play my NS or SB I found most lone Infs were easy RP, not because the class sucked but because most had no idea how to fight someone who wasn't mezzed or stunned first.

So if a hunter fights a scout who wins.

I'm pretty sure hunter slaughters scout, get into melee and get the pet out, you annihilate a scout in melee and if he slams you the pet will prevent him from shooting you.

If both players have same skill level the scout should lose to a hunter every time. How do you see the fight going that you will win this fight Mooshaka?

There are way too many variables to definitely say X would beat Y

If you aren't having fun with your class, play another one.
