so infiltrators are supposed to group up with every other class in the game on their realm to balance out pros and cons for that class so in turn equalization is achieved for the realm? right? not the individual class or for the so called stealther game / stealther classes eh? ima go log in my infil and start an 8 man =) .. wish me luck

If you don't understand what was said then I don't know what you worry about anyway since you don't know your class/realm abilities.

Scouts are the most efficient RP earners. Mostly due to their shields and yet best range dmg. High melee defense and high range dmg is NOT balance.
I can go on and on with this. But I doubt I can say something we don't already know.

IN SHORT. ALB have this OP Scouts. You want balance? Lets do balance. NERF SCOUTS FIRST. Improve Rangers next. And then we talk assassin vs Assassin balance.

PS when we get to assassin vs assassin balance your DB has to go

After reading a few posts, I have a feeling the author of this thread also wrote this one.

There is no point of playing an inf except to be fodder for SLing SBs with two handers,

How about the stealthlore that an Infiltrator gets after a deathblow. That's a pretty awesome ability.

- More spec points means no sacrifice between specs.
- Stealthlore deathblow is awesome.
- Crossbow can be spellcrafted for easy envenom swaping without removing an item.
- You don't have to fight against other stealthers with an insta-stun (Minstrel/Scout)
- You get spec AF from your BOT, something not replicated with a potion (charges use timers and slots on gear).

Just to name a few advantages.

You are right, the Inf Xbow is the most overpowered weapon in the realm. I fire a bolt at the enemy and about 40% of the time it will hit and do a whopping 30-60 damage. It's fires about once every 4-6 seconds too, so it would only take me about 75 shots to kill an AFKer and about 6 or 7 minutes. If they are wearing healing items and have a healing buff though, they will heal faster than I can do damage and I have to find another AFKer.

I play all stealth classes in the game. Nightshades have habitually been the least powerful class of these to play for a variety of reasons. Nightshade magic was always a joke until it was recently buffed. As it stands now, all 3 assasin classes have roughly the same utility. Only SBs can actually assasinate a single target solo effectivley because of the 2 hand perf chain. When you PA for 1200+ its hard for the healers to respond to that. As for the whole critical strike issue, an infiltrator can have 50 effective dw and still spec 44 cs quite easily. That may not be the best option depending on play style but it is a clear advantage. You cannot expect all of these classes to do exactly the same thing. SBs have more strength than either of the 2 other realms and do better with slash damage weapons, not to mention their ability to convert damage to crush. Infiltrators are the most balanced of the assasin classes. There is no reason you cannot play one effectively. What they don't have is the good ranged damage on nightshades which can be useful from walls and in zerg situations, but they are still an exceptionally good class to play. If you want something that really sucks play my mauler.
