but I doubt it's much of an understatement after many years of listing to these kind of whines. In a comparison of each assassin I doubt they are that bad off vs. the other two. Now fighting other classes yes I can see a distinct advantage in certain situations for either the SB(faster kills) or NS(more utility).
Second this is not about who I can group with because if it is, you are basicly saying that the albion assasin class needs to be in a group to be effective.
Learn to read. I'll say it again, the problem is that when an Inf is in a stealth group(which by far is the norm) they have an advantage over the other realms stealth groups. By boosting Infs this advantage could be made even greater.
While mid and hib assasin's can be effective solo or in groups.
Can be just as effective in a less effective group.
If you find this balanced then you have no idea what you are talking about or you don't know the meaning of balance. And if you can sit there with a straight face an say if you had 1 choice of the three classes to make, a infl would be your top choice. You are lieing , foolish, or both.
No, I really liked NS's from the get go, from what I've read of the changes they've received it would suit my playstlye even more. However, I wouldn't have a problem playing an Inf, other than the distaste I've always had for playing Alb.
This is what I posted before on this subject-- I don't want my infl to be stronger than a ns or a sb just equal, and they are not even close to that. And for some reason you don't want that, wonder why?
Who said I didn't want that? I said it could have negative consequences, the situation is not bad enough to have them screw up things once more with some sort of fix. There's no reason to wonder anything, I don't play and I'm starting to doubt I ever will again.
Why would anyone even play a infl with all the things that are given to a sb or ns. Lets name a few because I think you failed to mention them!
SB- 1. More hp.
I can't remember how much more they get but it's hardly that big of a deal compared to an Inf. It never worried me as an NS with just as much less than an Inf as an SB has over one and I didn't find it a huge advantage as an SB.
2. 2hand dmg.
Great for perfs but only bad assassins get perfed by other assassins in 1on1's, other than that 2H damage isn't that great of an advantage even with maxxed out swing speeds, I'd rather be hitting twice each swing and having tha chance of two procs over one.
3. ability to use crush dmg.
Big whoop, so they get a 5% damage boost.
4. oh and a side stun.
Ok, give it to Infs, that's not a big deal since they don't need it in groups anyway.
NS- 1. 2 dots 1 from posion and a another given just for leveling up.
2. a castable dd given just for leveling up.
3. a insta dd again given just for leveling up.
1 to 3 is all one thing, no point in breaking it up. However I have not played with the recent boosts to it so I don't know how much more effective it is.
4 oh and a side stun.
See above.
I've heard you can roll Celts now but you fail to mention that for 8 years NS's had the lowest con and str races of all assassins and I'll assume that most of those you're going to face are still going to be either Luri's or Elves. To be effective blades users they have to invest heavily in aug str and for a long long time blades weapons were superior to most pierce weapon choices.
INF- 1. 500 extra spec points and every rr after 5 loses importance more and more.
2. blank.
3. zip.
4. nadda.
So Infs actually fit into Albions middle of the road then? Mids have better melee and Hibs better magic. infs also get access to friar bots(unless they've nerfed that) and while bots really shouldn't be counted in class balancing in reality it has a big effect.
And lets not leave out the 2-chain evade stun that all three of use get. And we all know how much people will evade 1 of them so its no guarantee both will land. So after seeing this And you want to make one of the three. Why would anyone in there right mind make a infl?
Because 90% of stealthers zerg....er group and Alb has the best stealth groups?
This does not look like balance unless you are a ns/sb!
As I said, they are probably slightly lacking, but after 8 years of listening to these kind of whines it's rarely as bad as it's made out to be. Another problem is most stealthers these days only think of the stealth war, I personally didn't partake in it that often and played the class as it was meant to be played, as that became harder and harder to do I quit and never went back even when it was made easier.
