The servers close in October. 10 years is long enough. Say goodbye to Ultima too. EA is trimming the fat.

Try the feedback form. Even though I have not sent feedback in years it tells me that I can't send more then 2 per hour and to try again later.

Way to sever customer contact.

Meebee if we all pray hard enough at Mythic's grave we'll get our XP back.

I was pretty optimistic of the game a few years back. They didn't give us an expansion per se, but they revamped old world, put in a quest that got a lot of people into the dragon stomping grounds. Populations were still dwindling, but that was expected as the game was well past its prime (If this was the Roman Empire, we're nearing the end of Constantine's reign).

I really hope they're planning something nice for us. Old frontiers is still available.. and if even only temporarily, they could open it. Another campaign like Dragon's Revenge would be really great.

But if they can't do any of that, I would like for them to bring back the old camelot herald. I really don't know why they got rid of it, but I'm guessing to hide the population drop and replace it with (high, mid, low) as they do with warhammer.

First, remember all those new people we brought onto the team a few months back? Well we have been putting them to work creating what is best described as a New User Journey. ... The New User Journey should be out within the next few patches and once it is, I am sure everyone will enjoy the results.
...
Second,you are now on our new website. This is just the first step in improving the way we communicate with our playerbase. The new website is easier to navigate, and chock full of articles and information about the game. You may notice that some of the content is from our old Dark Age of Camelot site; over the coming months we will continue to bring that content over to the new format, but we wanted to get the new look and functionality out in front of you sooner rather than later.
...
Third, we are working on a wiki site for DAoC that you the players can help to maintain and develop.
...
And as if three things weren’t enough, here’s a fourth: We are going to be allowing transfers from the Glamorgan cluster to Ywain.
...
So that’s what I’ve come here to talk about for now, but rest assured, that there is a whole lot more on our “to-do” list. So keep your eyes peeled, and you ears to the ground, because there will be additional information about our big year coming your way!
...

Three Words: High on Crack.

1. New tutorial Not implemented yet.

2. New website Uh, it's there, but not completed.

3. Wiki site It's there.

4. Glamorgan transfers Already happened.

So by my calculations, unless you are brand new to the game, there's not a whole lot to look forward to at this point. They did everything else they said they would. This "to-do" list better be frickin' awesome, but the 10-year anniversary promise is pretty much fulfilled.

I love the doom and gloom posters. If you read VN the games been dying since the release of ToA and while you could argue that statement might be true it's still here, 8 years later with people saying the same things.

One day they will turn off the servers, but I don't believe it will be any time soon.

back in 2002, when Star wars Galaxies was in beta.. it was supose to kill DAoC...
also in 2002, shadowbane was in beta, and was supose to kill daoc...

as well as dragon empires... wich never did get released...

and yet.. DAoC lived on... despite those and many many many others that were supose to outright kill DAoC

Quit whining. They do have something planned for 10 year anniversary . Just be patient. As for the website, we all know it fails...don't have to bring that up.

Since when is making a valid complaint 'whining'? It's precisely indifferent tardish attitudes like yours that stop things being fixed. Have you sent constant feedback? E-Mails? Called support? Things do not get better if everyone just STFU and accepts the status quo. The web site is a disgrace - complain, and often. This game is a joke now - my entire Guild has left to play Eve because we are sick of the lag since the German server merge. We've all complained and the Mythic monkey clearly can't be bothered to fix whatever's broken so we've voted with our feet. If the server is still up with an active population this time next year I shall die of shock - Mythic have ran this game into the ground. What a shame.

Why call me out on it, when there was other people I could have been talking to and didn't want to name any names and single people out, so i just stated what i said? Also, i have sent in tons of feedback. Anddddddddddddddd another thing...Since the German servers have arrived, i havent had the lag there, until recently, it is almost as if EA is working on something for us. testing thresholds, your guild must have been a bunch of big crybabies cause I haven't had much of an issue with this lag.

Lag depends on where you live and the jumps taken to get to Mythic. If it is bad then the game will be unplayable.

Tech support should have requested some traces using Pingplotter (free version) or an equivalent.
(Needs to be run for about 20 minutes).

If there is a guild that all live in a single country / state then one idea would be for everyone to run it.

Now whether tech support do anything with the trace data once they have them is another matter - and sometimes it is simply a case of them i.e. EA contacting a telecoms company that runs a part of the route taken. And usually the telco takes much more notice of a big company than it would an individual.

As to the announcement - underwhelmed.
The last lot of interns that were set to work on DAoC 'revamped' the starter experience as well.

Daoc killed itself.

You can play how ever u want,solo 8 man,grief people,craft etc etc etc,but IMO,
The best times were running out to NF too defend my realm OR long hard keep takes or anything in df.

No realm pride,fast keep takes and boaring df just makes me stand by,save my money untill they do sum of the many things that could make this game fun.

Hour long buff pots
2 realms allowed in df at all times
Char copys from ywain to mordred
Npc buffers in the bg's and every dungeon
Make one realm at a time allowed in labby(like df is now)
More search options on cm in housing
Add white dye
Make black dye blacker,sum iteams don't look dark enough...
Make crafting more important
Make backpack space and vault space much bigger
Cut boat ride time in half in NF
Fix pet pathing,still sooo many areas they run off or cause aggro
Increase the over all movement speed for every class a lil bit
Get rid of champ xp,itz a time sink that's useless
Increase spawn times on many mobs in many areas
Add more shape changes and make them last longer
And so much more ack...

Or

~~~Give us a new server,pre toa,with forced realm pride~~~
Leave bots alone(Buffs issues can be resolved by
allowing pots to last an hour)
And char copys from ywain to morderd and call it a day...
