Wasn't there supposed to be a big patch for the 10yr anni? |

October is fast approaching and I thought there was going to be a "major" patch with cool content and stuff to help people gear up for RvR. Did I miss something in the producer letter?

So who is coming back to DAOC? With almost 7 years out of college now, i am looking to enter DAOC again. Are people coming back? Anyone from Kay?

At first, I saw "10th Anniversary" and thought to myself, "what if DAoC made a comeback?" The best RvR game, the one everyone else talks about (regardless of whether they admit it) when seriously talking about serious RvR/PvP or whatever you want to label it. What if?
Then I looked at the "new" board. What I didn't see was discouraging. It looked like prep for a wake instead of prep for a celebration. No patches for 2 months. The "big ticket" was sounding like a door hanger pamphlet.
I started a 14-day trial account, unwilling to reopen my long-closed account just yet.
And, I cried. It isn't going to happen. The glory days are just that, the glory days. I don't think anything will bring those days back unless EA decides to fully revamp and relaunch DAoC with all the fanfare and expectations of it booming and becoming over the next 10 years the next best... DAoC.
Well, I'll watch still. And hope. But that is all I can say or feel for now.

Here's what I don't understand... they "updated" their website.
So before we were able to:
Search guilds
Search characters
Search IRS, highest realm points earned, etc.
See population status of each server (this was always depressing to see post LotM)
Find out guild's information, including website, guild ranks
Now:
Simplified text boxes and a website that a 12 year old could design.
We lose all search engines except the outdate FAQ guide.
A "wikipedia"?
