I love the Art Direction of DaoC but I'm saying they could do with a high res texture upgrade and higher polygon count models. They can still have the same art direction just I would like to see an updated version.
EQ1 did it a few times if you look at the graphics at launch to what they are now it's a huge difference.

it's gone now but what happened was that on this thread http://vnboards.ign.com/warhammer_online_age_of_reckoning_general_board/b22997/115049437/p1/?37 someone noticed that Angryranger's comment was the exact same as someone's on the youtube page.
The guy then looked and saw that the youtube account had videos of tranvestites and also made comments on Warhammer videos the same comments that Angryranger makes.
At first he denied that it was him but shortly after angryranger tried playing it off like it was a joke he even went as far as adding videos about animal sex and stuff but it was to late everyone already saw it. The guy who found it took screen shots of what it looked like before Angryranger changed it.
Anyway Angryranger has since deleted the youtube account and hasn't been seen since, probably cause he is ashamed.
The mods should have never deleted it seeing as it was pretty epic.

I agree with Semi4. AngharadMacsen and Nates10: neither of you have stated anything remotely as "tangible." I have a strong inclination that Semi4's estimates are at least ball park and his logic valid.
EA and Mythic have both shown what greed, poor management, and poor vision can do. Look at their current games, compare them with their "classics" and ask people what they've enjoyed more. If you need anymore justification that they've slipped, why's WoW the behemoth that it is? Surely you don't believe Blizzard has some intrinsic quality that is responsible for the success of its games? Blizzard does have a strong fan base due to their track record and attention to quality, nonetheless this shouldn't detract from a new MMO coming out that succeeds more than enough to warrant its general expense. Taken from another angle, why is it that EVE online continues to do well despite being released in 2003? I can assure you that by 2013 they will still have a far greater player base than DAOC. What's crappy is that the success of the gaming industry has led to a lot of games being published or good games receiving "updates" that shouldn't have made it past the initial planning stages in the first place.
This same success was probably what led Mythic to perform its cost cutting maneuver of outsourcing ToA development; why spend anything more on creating a successful product if we already have a brand name to use? Greed, poor management, and poor vision are what's preventing DAoC 2 from taking off and being successful. Making money back on a venture like DAoC 2 isn't the problem.

Actually the mods deleted it. the youtube account is alive and well, and accessible. come on in Trannies, farm animals and lesbians ftw!

Good for you. That still doesn't lend creditability to his estimates. If the numbers added up Mythic would have done it already.

One man's perversion is another man's passion! Yeah that account got a lot of complaints. I think my horse fking a dude upload pushed them over the edge. It was hot though. Too bad you missed it. TOA? No, I laugh at how it wrecked the game and continues to be "balanced."
