Necros hit hard...

Animist got the benefit of 10% Cast speed as well, so they hit just as hard or harder than Necros and alot faster.

Taking away the extra 15 pierce would mean giving the Necro cast speed... which any Necro who knows his class would be glad to do.

Id love to FP and land 5 lifetaps for 650 instead of landing 3 for 850. Necros already run close to 10 cast speed in templates while sacrificing alot to get the extra pierce, this change would just give them more toys.

3? You do know you can get 4 casts out of FP right? Or at least I've been able to ever since Legier showed me how to do it years ago on Mordred.



Yes I know you can get 4, but majority of the Necros out there are only able to get 3 whether it be from buffs, template, or latency. I went with more of a common amount than max. Max would be closer to saying 4 lifetaps for 850 compared to 7 lifetaps for 650... there may even be an 8th cast go off but will stick with 7 since we are already 1k damage higher with cast speed.

It is amazing how 10% casting speed would give you 75% more spells.

Also I don't understand why you base your calculations on the worst people rather than on the best people.

He's basing his calculations on the average (as well he should). Basing it on the worst people would assume they get 0 casts off because they mess up their FP (which has buggy and complicated mechanics).

That being said, I and most of the VN community base our arguments and comparisons of classes on the potential of the class. You don't NEED duration gear to get the 4th cast off, but having 15+ duration in your temp makes getting that 4th cast a lot more reliable, especially if you don't know the FP tricks of the trade like status swapping and swing canceling (which most necros don't).

If you could get 25 dur and 10 cast speed in your temp you could probably get off about 7 casts.

Let's add in ALL their toys/exploits/bugs shall we:

25% spell pierce
Immune to CC pet
Able to /stay pet while shade runs inside keep/tower and provides intel & ground targets for buddies outside without fear of being nuked, stopped, killed, etc
High ABS...never mind their armor procs...their ABS is ridiculously high.

Gone are the days of 50 servant necro's PVEing mobs.

All? That's an incredibly biased list.

Got a little news flash for you, Bill O'Reilly; you can't say "ALL" (in caps, mind you), then present a one sided argument and still be taken seriously. This isn't Fox News.

What about the game breaking pathing bugs that end Necro fights before they've cast a single spell? What about the buggy pet casting mechanics or the warping issues? What about the fact that they would have the worst RA selection in the game if not for Ichor? No mention of that in your comprehensive list up there.
