again... i do not want to do that class compare over and over again here. it's not my point...
i also do not want to remove double spec at all. i want to keep it! but i want it to be fixed in a way so that it is no longer doubled pain for low rr people. you still need to spec extra points into it without getting a benefit. but you do not get punished that hard for it when being low rr.
@Grish11
all the hybrids you are talking about HAVE defense spec lines. they can train in parry and or shield with the points they save because they do not have double specing penalty. and again, i do not want to remove the need of double specing... i just want a little change to be done so that low rr players do not get punished that hard because of it.
@Saxona
i think we both agree that the grab between a rr1 and a rr12 armsman / paladin is bigger then it is for a hero, warrior, thane, champ and so on. that is simple math, that i have provided here. all i wanna do is changing that so that the grab is getting equal. that enables you in a LATER step to do balance changes between the classes, that are simply not possible yet because of the different performance on different RRs. for example if a rr1 armsman is balanced in compare to a rr1 warrior, the armsman will out perform the warrior at rr12. but if the armsman is balanced at rr12 to the warrior, the warrior will out perform the armsman at rr1. with the change i am talking about he is balanced (or not) at any rr. if you need to do balance changes you can do them much more easy, because you do not have to look onto the different performance on different RRs. (but again, that's another topic)
the armsman will not get a huge buff on low rr within rvr with that change (especially if you think your way and say "that little more points for parry will not change anything"

). the paladin is the one that suffers most on low RRs. all i wanna do here is changing it so that its equal on all RRs. i don't wanna remove it at all...
also that is not hardcore paper daoc that has no practicality on the battlefield. in the end this is stuff why you loose or do not loose a fight. you should start looking on the bigger picture and how stuff works. you will find many answers and many reasons for lost fights in there. you will find strength and weakness on many stuff. for example you total underrate the additional parry / evade... start making use of it.
@PasswordLLOTH
the question is: what is movement?
