Well Adam, apparently you have accepted "The Gift" better than me. I think I average 100-120 on HoN.

Well I think I watched too much competitive play.. and when last hitting I constantly move around instead of just holding position.

Well yea, that's way better. I think mine mainly drops once the laning phase is over, I don't really spam moving to one spot.

Daimar: I enjoyed Civ3 more too.. but I couldn't STAAAAAAND people coming behind my borders and making cities. It was so annoying. Thankfully they added a heavy negative weight for civs doing that in civ4.

Frankie: I also like to maximize my dps by just a little bit(at least until you get enough attack speed) by move->attack->move->attack. it takes away your backswing. probably negligible but it's already habit at this point.

No the technique you're referring to is known as animation cancelling or orb walking. It's completely necessary early in the game when you're commonly chasing a person while trying to kill them, since they won't just turn around fight you. Otherwise it's still useable on some spells, but later on it's not required since you'll typically attack faster than is possible to come ahead by ani cancelling.

Edit: On some heroes it is painful to not do it though, first hero that comes to mind is Sand Wraith for Hon. And pretty much any range hero.

This franchise has been on a downhill slide since Civ2, imho. And MoO peaked on the first iteration. MoO2, with no stacking of ships made combat too complicated, and then automation made MoO3 == Master of the Next Turn button.

I know, I play way too much HoN :\ my roommate has a boner for the game, and makes me play it way too much. I probably should be in the 1800 bracket, but I'm stuck in the 1650s because I drink too much any play
