(mumbles something relatively rude about commented source code and goes back to his editor)

Ok, found it, apparently everything concerning transparency happens in "cCanvas::Blt".

Now if you manage to provide me a working testbed where I don't have to revamp a year old source code and where I can build a Decal that displays something transparent on the screen, I'm ready to work on fixing the graphics part of Decal.

"I believe their policy is 'If you have to ask, we aren't telling you'"

Which is really annoying for someone like myself who has developed in : Basic, Pascal, C, C++, Java, VB 6, VB .NET, C#, Javascript, Perl, C-Shell, VBS and has worked in development in various Unix flavors, Win32, COM/DCOM/COM+, pSoS, VxWorks, Symbian and CE but isn't familiar with IRC (or at least wasn't a year ago when I got the same arrogant answer as above).

I've hex edited games since Zork I and have extensive programming knowledge and yet somehow a lack of familiarity with an IRC channel disqualifies me???

Lack of familiarity of IRC does not disqualify you.

Lack of ability and/or desire to use google and research IRC does.

Not that i wouldn't mind beta testing this.. but i am simple refuse to go through IRC again. that chat room is sooo unstaple on my machine.. i hate all the other junk you get with it and all those codes.. UGH. then again i had winME/Win98 .. LOL but i rather play ac then fight with IRC again. SO i guess i just wait for the official release. NO offense to anyone.. but for me IRC is just a waste. I did that years ago and i know it is cool for file sharing and rollplaying stuff .. but i think i mainly got bored with nasty peeps hitting on me with yuk comments.

Gouru you rock.. you and your friends.. take your time.

Just an idea. But since Window'd mode is now a supported feature do we even need decal to be on the 3d part of AC? What about having it be an external window that can be put in the background when not needed. I have noticed that the new client now actually mutes the sound when not active and that the 3d playfield still updates when not the active window.

Just my little idea. Keep up the good work decaldevs.

Peace
