Now, to actually answer the question: "Now that EL Tank has been kilbitted..."
I am going to ask as politley as possible and as frequently as I can without pissing off the writers and controllers of Lifetank - PLEASE add Re-Stam and Healing controls beyond a set default for Melees and Archers! Ltx for the WIN!
I agree... As I've said many times before (and I apologize), this is just a horrible time of year for me.. and Replex seems busy as well. There are many things we'd like to improve on the plugin, we honestly just haven't had the time lately to do anything. Work for me probably won't slow down until the middle of January, *maybe*.
But, fixing the whole slider deal was something I was working on before I ran out of time... also trying to make it 100% recharge instead of just getting above the threshold was another thing. It sounds easy, but the whole threshold thing I piddled with for days and couldn't get it to work as expected.

Something I found and helps me understand why it was killbitted.
BTW, this Hacked DLL was also being sold for RL cash. I had no choice but to ask for a killbit.

Still dont like that its gone, but knowing more why it was done helps.

Funny that, but I think that anyone who had/has the hacked version probably already know how to bypass the killbit too. Of course the rest of us who were just limping along with the tracking and transitioning the quest timers are out of luck eh

<< 100% Responsibility for this FIASCO lays directly at the feet of the owner of the plug-in and nowhere else. >>
I would say part of the issue is someone deciding to sell a hacked DLL. Of course why blame people that are breaking the law?

I was not talking about the kill-bitting.
Specifically.
I was talking about why there's no El Tank and the motivation behind a persons actions and their "claims".
"He" claimed to not have any intent to hurt the player base's enjoyment of the game.
"He" claimed he would do nothing to actively disable, or otherwise shut down the plug in.
Actions speak louder than words.
It's "His" plug-in. "He" can, and will, and has done what "He" will like, regardles and contrary to what "He" said "He" would.
Hence, ultimately, this mess is "His" fault. One lies to the playing community, they get ticked. They do things like hack DLLs and such. Too bad, actually, that they gave "Him" even more ammunition to further perpetuate "His" little tantrum.
I sincerely hope "He" enjoys Eve Online.

Correct, his aim was at Turbine, players are just a side-effect. So his intent was not to hurt players but it did happen to some due to them not willing to change to something else.
<< "He" claimed he would do nothing to actively disable, or otherwise shut down the plug in. >>
But when someone starts selling a hacked DLL, making a profit off of his work, then he really wasn't left much choice. Again, blame the hackers.

Churi-Ya has a point in that, if he didn't take down the Auth Server before he said he would, then the hacked DLL wouldn't have been created and released as quickly, and thus, ELTank wouldn't have been killbitted as soon.
So in a way, Elgar is responsible for the whole outcome of this situation. HE first decided to stop supporting it, which is fine, his decision. He said he'd leave it running until Decal or AC broke it however. Fast forward a week or two, and suddenly Elgar pulls the Authorization Server offline, thus killing most of ELTank off and forcing people to scramble to find an alternative, or find a hack to get it to work.
Needless to say, the "correct" way to fix the problem was not the quickest and easiest, and since Quickest and Easiest usually win in most of human nature these days, it was the hacked DLL for the win. I know personally that me and a couple of other people were close to a REAL solution that didn't violate Elgar's agreement or go against his wishes, but it took a lot more time and research than just hex-editing the DLL.
Oh well. Elgar is responsible for this outcome.
