I have run into another issue with the current version of ltx.
Was in the red room doing the ripper quest in eo.
Ltx is killing so slow that it is blacklisting every critter in the room. It keeps switching to the next critter, blacklists it and switches again and again. This not around a corner firing thru walls but standing in the room.
xp is cut from 75 to 80 mill a hour solo to 30/40 mill.
I can turn blacklisting off but this not going to fix the slow rate it kills.
It is not going to fix the issue of it when going from one place to another thru a portal stoping working and having to log off and on to get it to work again.
The slow rate of casting and having to turn off most of the functions to get it to work at all has me wondering how many people will quit. It has made what was a very good program into somthing that is clunky and getting close to unusable.
thx guys for the time you do spend on ltx
not sure what i would do without a utility like this.
You guys seem to be missing the point - Lifetank is not working, period. It is simply not working correctly, it doesn't know how to manage stamina and mana whatsoever. It will cast war and war down to 0 mana, fail s2m, cast more wars, fail heal 7 due to 0 mana and die. It is not working at all. This occurs with the mana bar set to 100%
We aren't asking for a fine tune, people are asking for a working version. This is happening to everyone I am talking to
I went into Insatiable Vault to get my jaw ... (I've been testing it everywhere I go to see if my findings are the same regardless of dungeon) First, a target would be selected, and slowly LT will cast at it, then will make a small "turn" to the right, then come back to center on the eater. Another spell will be cast, in the meantime, the toon is taking a beating. Then, the toon will turn around without killing the current target (and this is with blacklisting turned off) and begin to attack another eater, again with the small "turn" to the right, etc. No matter WHERE you have the sliders set for healing/stam/mana, they appear to be ignored as the laborious process of trying to kill something continues. As someone else posted, for all intents and purposes, the program is totally worthless for helping you at all.
As also has been noted, IF you die, and try to force the rebuff, chances are you're going to have to log out and back in to get it to rebuff.
As far as comments about boots? I'd not be so darn quick to lay the blame on LT to be honest. I've been running it throughout the CoC boots, and have YET to receive one. I know many who have been booted who never fired LT up for any reason, and still others who didn't even HAVE LT on their system, but were booted anyway. CR, I know you guys are loathe to do it, but version .2 WAS working, was NOT having major issues constantly, and I honestly don't think it was the sole reason (or even the overwhelming reason) for CoC "violations". The program, as it is running now, is basically unusable, even sitting at the keys monitoring it carefully. The ONLY place it appears to be functioning reasonably well, is a place with a slow spawn of few creatures ... and even sometimes THAT requires a kickstart to function. These funny little "turns" ... I call it indecision ... are something that was not there before. Something in there has gone really haywire ... I truly hope you can figure it out soon.
As I have offered before, I'm very willing to take a test version out for a spin for you. Just let me know and I'll be happy to give it a whirl in several different places, and report findings promptly to you.

Love ... Dream ... Believe
LifeTank IS a large reason for CoC boots and the strain on the server. It's been confirmed by the Developer team that it sends an inordinate amount of spam to the server.
However, the CoC boots are NOT a result of using Lifetank. Just because you never got booted for using it doesn't mean a large majority has been.
The CoC boots attempt to put a limit on the number of requests (packets) a player sends to the server. LifeTank happens to send far more requests than a human could ever do. Paraduck and C'relic *DID* fix that, for the sake of the server, and in the mean time, it happened to break.
Guy's the guys a BREAK, they need to re-write pretty much the entire way LifeTank works, making it compatible with Turbine's packet limit, and still making it useable.
Tall order. They don't need people wasting their time with useless comments/flames. Post your feedback, error messages, screenshots, exports. It will help them iron out the wrinkles faster.
"Give the guys a break"! This is still an amazing utility, but, it does need it re-write for the packet traffic management.
Two things I read here this morning.
(1) "The indecision ..."

I've seen this for a long time in .2 .. and was hopeing it would be fixed. It was never a big deal to me, happening around a medium size crowd of critters. It showed room for tightening up in the script tho.
(2) "LTx is not working" "Mana management" ..
I'm not totally convinced that it's not the settings. I had a struggle in this department to get them right. But when I did, I presently have 4 different mage toons working find with keeping up with Stam/Mana .. and using settings I been using for a long time. I seen the toons struggle in extreme conditions .. but they struggled with other Decal programs also, past and present, in similar extreme conditions.
These conditions push scripting and macroing to the limits. (In a sense, scripts against scripts.) Stamia to Mana itself is not an perfect science. Having not enough "Mana C" skill and it can be troublesome doing it manually. The slider bars alone are not the complete picture for getting the balance. Combination of the sliders, selected level cast of Stam/Mana in balance with the Mana C skill is a part of the balance I worked out .. and it differs from toon to toon.
I'm a happy camper with it now. It does what I need and works. My only complaint is the lack of a manual to explain all the settings to us.
i noticed soon as i logged in that ltx was acting dif as it scaned my packs for major/minors, it has not done this in a long time, why it did with ac+ running im not sure but:
i set ltx vitals all to 10% and ac+ vitals at: health 65ish%, stam 75% and mana 30% to try and keep them from spaming the same commands at the same time
i let ltx handle buffs/fighting/loot and ac+ vitals and a few of the options like skill check and xp reporting
after just a few mins i decided this is how i will prolly keep it even when ltx is fixed because i like the way ac+ handles vitals better with the stam2health
summary: ltx ran like nothing was wrong, no boots, no slow cast, no confusion on what/wich critter to attack, only thing i saw was when stam2mana it sometimes would cast 1-2 wars before revit stam, but that in no way affected its production
only thing i couldnt get to work is volleys, but i never have been able to get them to work
I would like to thank the past few posters for the constructive criticism. As I stated before, when we released .3 shortly after the Turbine changes, I was fairly sure the only change that was made was some timers to wait a tad longer before launching more commands. That's what Para told me, and I believe him. However, I am open to the possibility that neither one of us has touched the source in a few months so the source he updated could have been one that him or myself tinkered with beforehand. At one time, we were experimenting with how the vitals work, and never had much success, nor time to test. It might be possible this is the source that was modified and released, again, without testing.
We did start making copies of the source after final releases. I'll try to pull those back up and recompile them with a test version and allow a few people to run it for awhile to see what happens. If the CoC boots continue, but everything else was as .2 was, I'll change the timer (maybe to a more modest number) to see the outcome.
Again, keep in mind I don't have a very great connection to the net so making changes, uploading stuff, even getting in-game is a PITA for me... so I get frustrated very easily and tend not to follow through. You can also connect the dots to figure out I honestly have no idea how bad these problems being reported are, how slow things run, or how the vitals don't work because I don't know because I haven't seen them.
I'll go look for the source now and tinker with it some. Please bear with me.
PS. Volley's never worked as far as I know, even before we started playing with the source.
PPS. I have a simple little guide on the site Roogon. Other than that, there is no official documentation.. not even in the source.

Don't blink, Don't even blink
Blink and you're dead
They are fast, faster than you can believe
Don't turn your back, don't look away
and don't blink.
Thx Crelic and Para for the attention you give to this program. And thx for putting up with all of us While I greatly appreciate the time and effort you put into maintaining this program I am sure you will see that the changes implimented recently are not what was intended or remotely desired by you or Para. It wont take long for you to see that what has become of your program is nearly unusable and why many of us are upset. Its nice to see that Para was proactive to help those that were experiencing problems with ltx version .2, but for those of us that were able to work around it or not experience any problems its frustrating to see a great working program reduced to what it is. (No offense intended Para. I doubt you meant for it to be like this)
Few points of possible interest:
After turbine did their second hotfix(or patch, whichever it was) and readjust their timers I never received a CoC boot with turbo off and very rarely with it on. So I kept it off. Very few boots were reported by clanmembers after turbines readjustment as well.
With turbo off version .2 was alot faster in all actions then current version. i.e. casting, looting, salvaging, mana and stam management.
Current versions speed cannot handle a modest spawn rate, forget a high spawn rate. While toon is able to kill and maintain vitals it is no longer able to effectively kill, loot, salvage etc. like it was able to in version .2. It is simply to slow to keep up so program is stuck in a kill, revit and repeat motion.
Is unable to prioritize targets. Regardless of settings ltx wants to turn or engage with another target rather than killing what it originally targeted.
If able to finish of a spawn it doesnt revit for approx 10-20 secs later interupting other actions, i.e. looting, salvaging, rebuffing.
As meantioned before its ineffective in mana, stam, health management. Some have found a bandaid by using other assisting programs to maintain safe lvls.
Wish I could be more technical but I am not educated in that field.
Would be nice to see version .2, or possible a version.4b(version .2 renamed), rereleased as a second version option to hold those of us who were not experiencing problems over till you and Para can rework the program. I for one enjoy your program to much to even bother logging in without it, but the current state of the program is......well not what it once was.
