how would you feel if that was your movie and you invested 200 million dollars, months of your hard work and time and some snot nosed kid watched it for free?

They probably shouldn't care cause if a movie spends that much they either failed horribly on their own mistakes or they made 5x the cost back in revenue. Some movies have massive profit margins, generally speaking

I'd feel pretty freaking awesome for having 200million dollars to do stupid profanity with like invest in a crappy movie.

People still go to the actual movies to see stuff, they make millions in the first weekend alone of being shown if they're any good...

Once content delivery systems improve, prices will decline as well as piracy. Steam is proof.

I agree with this. Piece out shows or channels like HBO. Let me only buy True Blood since I don't watch those other shows.

the industry needs to evolve with the times, rather then try to bully it's consumers into their way of thinking; they are only hurting themselves by going against the flow.

I wouldn't say entertainers get paid a lot. Some of them don't get paid crap while some others get hundreds of millions. If there's anything wrong with the entertainment industry these days that would be the biggest problem I think.

This is all government backed though. Biden has been a patsy for the MPAA and RIAA for his entire career as the joke of the senator he was. The DoJ is filled with former MPAA/RIAA laywers. One of the more prominent and powerful democratic leaders left the senate and is now the CEO of the MPAA (Chris Dodd). We should be voting out any and every senator and congressmen who tossed their support behind the bills, even if they now withdrew it.

The problem of some of them getting millions and others getting a little bit is not my problem.

Their future business model may only support nobody getting millions and everybody getting a little bit.

Just like most of the other industries in this world that have lost Earning Power due to Job Automation, outsourcing or other things.

I know you are trolling, but then maybe they need to STOP spending $200 million dollars on a movie or change their content delivery methods so they are making money off the snot nosed kid watching it for free.

After all, Snot Nosed kid is only watching it. He isn't reproducing it or reselling it or whatever.

Watch a movie like transformers. How much money do you think that movie made off of advertising?

A lot.

A whole lot.

If I had 200 million to make a movie, I would give no profanity about who watched it for free.

Korn is losing too much money from piraters! Its at the point where they only make profits from touring.

it really reminds me of the southpark episode when they show the stars being hurt by online piracy
