WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Obama administration was poised on Wednesday to reject the Keystone crude oil pipeline, according to sources, a decision that would be welcomed by environmental groups but inflame the domestic energy industry.
The administration could make its announcement on TransCanada's Keystone XL pipeline late on Wednesday or on Thursday, a source familiar with the matter told Reuters.

If the oil billionaires want this so bad then they should compromise and build refineries at the border state involved so the pipeline isn't strung all the way down the US to the gulf inevitably leaking and contaminating stuff. On top of that they must agree that all oil imported thru the line cannot leave the country and that the companies must maintain current levels of domestic only production to not bypass the previous restriction.
