sooz, #1 can happen at any stage in life. Hell, I see men piss all the time and walk out without washing their hands. I also see men turn on the water and dash their hands underneath then walk out. As for #2, if my kid could be killed by an allergic reaction I would not let them attend a public school the first few years. The fact is, none of these conditions were in place when I went to school and we never heard of anyone getting sick or dying.
To be fair the number of children allergic to peanuts especially in a very severe way has been increasing steadily for some time now.

You're right. Chicken Nuggets are so much more healthy.
dc isnt saying chicken nuggets are healthier, he was just pointing out that a pb&j isnt a healthy sandwich. Which it isnt. The kid's original sandwich, turkey and cheese, was far healthier.

I dunno sooz. I guess it depends on how much jelly you glob on it. Peanut butter itself is incredibly healthy. Most people I know use a lot of PB and very little jelly.

I have no frame of reference there. In my lifetime i have had exactly one bite of a pb&j and i spat it out seconds later. Probably one of the most disgusting things i have ever put in my mouth. If i ever have kids i wont force them to eat that crap lol

I would seriously disagree. I think you grow to like what is put in front of you, so if your parents consistently offer things like that, thats what the kids palate comes to expect. Its exactly why i can eat Marmite with a spoon (because i was brought up on it) but even the mere smell of it makes Wolfz gag.

there are certain times where you have to make a decision on what the kid will eat too. my daughter is cutting her molars right now and doesnt want anything hard to chew.
frankly as long as its been going on shes been dropping weight and she started off a tawney little kitty to begin with so Im looking keep her calorie count up. if I hand the kid a pb&j sandwich and she eats the pb&j sandwich is it better than taking the sandwich away and handing her chicken nuggets and having her not eat anything? because thats whats gonna happen in that circumstance
