You just likened a kid eating chicken nuggets with the systematic genocide of 30 million people.

I have no words to describe this stupidity.

Seriously. Let's leave that to Aerlinthian and BT. You can do a lot better.

LOL, and they're both here.

Has it been discovered that the guy is related to the company that provides food to the school yet? That's what it was last time this happened. (I didn't read the article, Nazis scare me.)

I'm probably too stupid to see it, but I can't find where Sith is comparisons in this stupid decision to replace the lunch with something I consider to be a poor choice.

Ya know, I would love to see the nutritional numbers on that lunchbox from home. Not that it matters in terms of this government thug grossly over stepping their bounds but I would bet that, that meal easily satisfied nutritional requirements.

If (and that's a mighty big "if" there was ANY nutritional shortage in the lunch (doubtful), you can damn well bet that some fkn chicken nuggets didn't solve it. Further, you can't necessarily gauge the nutritional intake of a child based on one meal in the day.

What about all those kids who eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for lunch? Are they falling short, or is the peanut butter industry properly subsidized enough that it's OK?

sorry public schools are allergy free zones. no peanutbutter

I don't think any school should be peanut free zones. No kid should have to suffer cause another kid can't have peanut butter. I think a kid with allergies should be separated and watched over. But no, we don't want them singled out. Hell, if it was my kids that was allergic I would want all kids to know they couldn't have it.

Put simply and w/o all the wacko conspiracy over-the-top-ness,

This example makes it pretty clear that the state has more power over us than it should.

We should change that.

Modern day liberals are about increasing equality, not about increasing freedom.

By banning peanut butter from schools the modern day liberal can make sure that ALL kids are equal with respect to their peanut butter consumption issues and that NO kids are UNEQUALLY treated or sequestered. They are all less free of course, but they are more equal, and in the end, that race to the bottom is what it's all about.

OK I now return you to the thread after my little segue into the rationale behind the contemporary liberal mindset.

That is EXACTLY the point. Most people want this to be about a single mistake, or about a single lunch inspector or about a single school. It's not about any of those things.

Cawlin, this reminds me of what one very stupid GM did at a machine shop I used to work at. Everyone was allowed to have a radio at their machine if they wanted one. Well, one young guy had a bigass boom box. Him and another guy would regularly get in competitions to see who could be the loudest. The young guy listed to ratchet metal and death metal. He had his so loud it could be heard upstairs in the offices. Instead of the GM going and talking to him he simply banned radios for everyone shop wide. And this is what happens when you put a man with no balls in charge.

As a metaphor it's a fairly relevant story, and I agree it is what happens when you put a man with no balls in charge. The worst part of such a policy or "leader" is that inevitably they blame the people rather than their own ineptitude.

It's your own damn fault you can't listen to music, a few people had to spoil it for everyone!

instead of:

Your radio can't be too big, and has to be kept at a volume that it can't be heard upstairs. If you violate these rules, you will not be allowed to have a radio, while everyone else still will.
