Oh, I would agree that you probably have to grow up eating that stuff. but some things not. It's hard for me to believe that kids have to acquire a taste for PB&J. It's such a staple in this country and I think for good reason. Even Joe Black liked peanut butter! And, natural peanut butter with no sugar is one of the best balanced foods you can eat. Perfect blend of fats, carbs, and proteins.
You have to acquire a taste for everything you eat. No food is "naturally delicious" because if it were, EVERYBODY who tried it would instantly love it. And that is not the case for any food.
The reason you find it hard to believe that kids have to acquire a taste is BECAUSE it's a staple in this country. It's a traditional food, therefore it is served often by most parents, therefore statistically it is more likely that kids will like it. Because they have it often, because they are raised on it. That's all it is.
LOL, do you seriously believe this crap?

I think you can enjoy something from the first taste, yes. But i dont believe there is any one food (or combination of) that everybody will love, all the time. That just isnt possible.

My bad, i didnt word that well. What i meant was, 9 times out of 10, you like what you are regularly given. If your parents regularly give you pb&j, it's more likely that you will enjoy that than if you suddenly taste one in your 20's.

There's a vast difference between 100% peanut butter and Skippy. Most mainstream peanut butters have tons of sugar, hydrogenated vegetable oils, and salt.

I can't quite agree with that either. I have never liked sweet tea and was given it a lot, even as a baby. My mom said I always refused it. And there are many foods I never knew I liked till I grew up because my mom didn't like them so never fixed them. A few that come to minds are: carrot cake, broccoli, boiled cabbage. But I was regularly given sweet peas and don't like them, tomatoes and don't like them alone, only with other foods. We also had avocado around all the time and I didn't that until I was 30.

I agree. Organic is what you want. My mom worked at Planter 16 years and I worked there 2 summers. We could sometimes go make peanut butter in the QA lab with pure peanuts.
