there are certain times where you have to make a decision on what the kid will eat too. my daughter is cutting her molars right now and doesnt want anything hard to chew.

frankly as long as its been going on shes been dropping weight and she started off a tawney little kitty to begin with so Im looking keep her calorie count up. if I hand the kid a pb&j sandwich and she eats the pb&j sandwich is it better than taking the sandwich away and handing her chicken nuggets and having her not eat anything? because thats whats gonna happen in that circumstance

Your an effing tyrant! Telling your daughter what to eat. What the hell do you think you are?

Oh, I would agree that you probably have to grow up eating that stuff. but some things not. It's hard for me to believe that kids have to acquire a taste for PB&J. It's such a staple in this country and I think for good reason. Even Joe Black liked peanut butter! And, natural peanut butter with no sugar is one of the best balanced foods you can eat. Perfect blend of fats, carbs, and proteins.

You have to acquire a taste for everything you eat. No food is "naturally delicious" because if it were, EVERYBODY who tried it would instantly love it. And that is not the case for any food.

The reason you find it hard to believe that kids have to acquire a taste is BECAUSE it's a staple in this country. It's a traditional food, therefore it is served often by most parents, therefore statistically it is more likely that kids will like it. Because they have it often, because they are raised on it. That's all it is.

LOL, you typically don't have to force kids to eat PB&J. It's naturally delicious.

This is true. My daughter prefers hers without the jelly, though. She's not a fan of sweets.

My son had his first taste of a Fluffernutter when we were in NH this Christmas. He was .

I don't worry about him having one once in a while; he eats healthy otherwise.

I had to Google Fluffernutter. As a kid I would have tried it.
