You can get this stuff at Petco etc called Nature's Miracle, which is supposed to be great for getting cat pee out.
To stop him doing it again, get some Feliway. He's stressed out because he cant go outside, the Feliway will calm him down.

Have to agree that that stuff is really awesome, used it myself with good results. Same with the Feliway. I think petsmart sells that one under the name "comfort zone" or somesuch, same stuff as, but cheaper than, the feliway you get at the vet's. Plug-ins > spray.

Yeah, we used the plug-ins when we brought Connor home, to ease the transition and it really helped calm them both down.

So, did you let him go outside? hehehe...
Pour hydrogen peroxide on the pee stain. Pour it liberally. It will denature the enzymes in the urine and take the stain out of the mattress through peroxidation. I use it in my practice and have never had a smell in my office.
