if you have military experience as as a pilot (fighter or otherwise) do you get to skip the regional jet pipeline with respect to tenure?

I have heard that this is true, actually...

I knew a few pilots LCDR's and above that had jobs with the major carriers before they resigned,
but then again I came from the P-3 community so those are big 4 engined aircraft.

Im glad my life amuses you so much. Tell me, is it a lot of work to be such a sanctimonious douche all the time? Or does it come naturally?

Comes naturally, and I'm quite proud of it. Thanks for asking.

what about one of those ultra-lights?

I've heard you don't need a pilot's license cause they don't go up very high.

Sport pilot only needs a driver's license instead of an FAA physical. The catch is that you're supposed to self-assess your fitness to fly and taking anti-psychotics is definitely going to rule that out. You could probably get the training and certification if you kept your mouth shut, but the second anything went wrong you'd be hosed...

are you saying I should be taking anti-psychotics meds?

The first thing that comes to mind is raid healing in wow. Boring repetitive task that might seem interesting the first time you did it that not many can or would be willing to do.

Raid healing also jump started my alcoholism.

And you always get blamed when people die!! See, same as pilots...

No, I just combined two conversations. The flow made sense at the time. Not so much in retrospect...

hehe

getting back on subject..

what my friend did to get the hours required was to be a flight instructor making crap money for a couple years at a little place in Louisiana. That way you don't have to flip the bill yourself for all the gas and such.. you pass the cost on to the student.

You shouldnt be, it's a serious character flaw. Sadly i probably wont see any of them, but if you keep acting this way you're going to get many, MANY well-deserved punches in the face.

It's easy when you look at what he's got to work with.

I don't need you 35k feet overhead when you start seeing things, thanks.
