I went out with my then wife and 3 friends on my 30th. Had a nice dinner, went to a comedy club, and were home by midnight. Very nice night.
The next night this crazy bartender woman I knew showed up at my house at 8PM and took me to a titty bar for my birthday and bought me a couple of lap dances. Very nice night.
You can do whatever the hell you want, and you can do more than one thing. It's your birthday, screw what anyone else wants....do your thing.

I'll probably end up doing what i did last year: dinner at the cheesecake factory with Wolfz, slice of cheesecake as my "birthday cake", it's all good

Yeah this year I was planning on going out for dinner with my Dad and my girls, but seeing as I'm having a wisdom tooth out tomorrow, doubt I'll even want to eat the next day, let alone leave the house.

It is just awful.
It may come off as odd, given how i dont shy away from attention here, but i actually hate being the centre of attention on real life. I love planning birthday parties for people, but i hate having parties thrown for me/ throwing parties for myself. I just dont feel comfortable asking people to come over, feel obligated to give me stuff etc etc. I'd rather the day just passed into the ether lol

I didn't even take my birthday off from work this year :-(
I hate it when co-workers find out its your birthday and enter it into their calenders and remind you every year afterwards forever and ever. "Happy birthday!" "For my present delete my birthday from your calender so you forget about it!"
